Exclamation 3 Amigos Ripped Out!

I am posting this for my neighbor who just bought a 2000 DII after falling in love with mine. We went wheelin Saturday and found out that his ABS, Hill Descent and Traction control did not work. Tried the full brake ABS thing and the wheels locked up too. But no warning lights were on.

Upon further investigation we found out that the LEDs in the instrument panel for the 3 Amigos were ripped out sometime in the past so the lights would not show. A friend of mine said he could solder new ones to the circuit board but we need to find the LEDs first. Anyone have any idea where we could find these lights. Once we have those the 3 Amigos trouble shooting can begin.

Looking forward to your testing tool coming to the market Disco Mike!

Thank you all,

Fred

You can still read the trouble codes even without the LEDS in place.

Unless you can find one in the junkyard I doubt you'll be able to find just those lights without buying a whole new dash cluster

have your friend e-mail me his tele number and let me walk him thru some things to do, this 3rd party communication isn't in his best interest.

Will do Mike. I will have him give you a call at an appropriate time of day if that works for you.

Nope. But usually if they've gone through the trouble to remove the bulbs, then there is a good chance that they either pulled the fuse - or simply unplugged the abs unit itself as well.
