Default 3 chimes while driving

So basically I'll drive down the road no lights now I'm aware of abs failer but my amigos lights are burned out. I plug in my code reader after every time this happens. it says nothing "system pass no fault detected". No p1590 to lead me that my amigos are on like last time please note I dont have an abs scanner but I did a week or two ago and no abs codes were stored. the truck does this once a week at least and has been since the day I bought it.

try pulling the SLS relay under the hood, Are you wearing your seatbelt?

You have ABS codes, the 3 chimes will happen when the 3 amigos illuminate.

Also, you can have the 3 amigos without a concurrent P1590.

I tested this by using HDC and it worked fine

I had a similar issue except my amigo lights weren't burned out so I could see them light up after the 3chimes. Mine never stored a code either. I did the option B fix about 2 months ago and haven't had a chime since.

Are you using an ABS code reader? Typical OBDII code reader won't pull ABS codes.

There are some SLABS errors that don't disable everything. For example a throttle position input error might disable traction control, but not ABS. So just because there is function of the HDC system, doesn't mean that there isn't sort of error.

so, will an abs capable reader pick up a code w/o 1590, or just no code at all?
