I've had my TD5 from new, 12 years now, with 125K miles on it. Prior to wrenching myself I suppose repairs cost me $2.5K and maybe since wrenching the cost in parts about $2-$3K. I still run the original exhaust apart from the downpipe cos I dumped the DPF type filter. It's been a reasonably economical truck to date considering it's towed heavy loads for about 20K+ miles of that mileage. I'm in the process of updating lots of bits and pieces still although much has been done to date (which is amazing when all I hear is "when are you gonna finish decorating the bedrooms" etc.) but I enjoy wrenching when the weather is warm like today, 21C in the early afternoon.

I'll bet you have this plastered on the other half. I have one of these stickers on my BenzRover. Jeep owners love it.

Purchased at 121k; 7/13

121,410 miles; 7-17-13
Replaced thermostat and antifreeze

121,430 miles; 7-20-13
Had a misfire. Replaced spark plugs and one broken plug wire.

121,440 miles; 7-21-13
Seafoam

122,870 miles; 10-3-13
Had brake master cylinder and oil filter seal (because of overtightened filter) replaced by mechanic

123,560 miles; 10-22-13
Removed resonator from exhaust to improve gas mileage and power by decreasing back pressure. Replaced with 45 degree angle pipe.
(don't judge, I had no idea what I was doing then. Someone told me that's what would happen. )

124,284 miles; 11-7-13
Installed hitch reciever

125,441 miles; 12-21-13
Installed ram air intake. Still looking for a way to reinstall bumper cover while retaining effectiveness and making it look good.
(it was some 4" PVC and guttering attached to the bottom of the air box. It was seriously botched, and I'm ashamed of ever thinking it would work as well as I though it would.)

125,550 miles; late December 2013
Replaced oil and oil filter

126,654 miles; 2-5-14
Replaced catalytic converters with two made by magnaflow

127,131 miles; 2-24-14
Installed Flowmaster 40 muffler in place of original. Reinstalled resonator because of drone.

127,248 miles; 2-28-14
Installed 9" glasspacks in place if resonator to further remove muffler drone. (if I remember correctly, it was a louvered 2.25" diameter Jones brand from Summit)

127,425 miles; 3-11-14
Replaced oil with Rotella 15w40 pee the recommendation of every Land Rover forum in existence. Left same oil filter.

129,985 miles; 6-28-14
It appears I have missed several exhaust changes. I ran, for a while, just the Flowmaster. Then I ran just the 9" glasspacks temporarily while waiting for the dual 23" Jones glasspacks that I installed with a 2.5" y splitter and dual pipes. On the date and miles listed above, I have installed a Borla Pro XS muffler and had my catalytic converters rewelded. I did a poor job the first time.

130,290 miles; 7-9-14
Installed a custom cold air intake. Definite power increase, especially at high RPM.

130,290 miles; 7-10-14
Inspection sticker

130,500 miles; 8-4-14
Changed drivers front hub because of bad bearings. [marked out: also solved 3 amigos]

Block serial #
CR9.37:1
08d00795A

130,693 miles; 9-27-14
Replaced head gaskets, Port and polish, Kent h180 cam, Rhoads lifters. Need to fix misfire. (this was written while sitting in the O'Reilly parking lot on my way home 5 minutes down the road)

130,693 miles; 9-27-14
Misfire allowed gasoline into exhaust. Melted passengers catalytic converter, glowing yellow, had to cut out sitting beside the road. Will replace with new ASAP. (I think there's a picture of the incident on my profile)

132,500 miles; 10-21-14
Optima yellow top battery

131,950 miles; 10-25-14
Maf sensor
Rear O2s were also replaced about 3 weeks ago along with the melted catalytic converter. (front O2s were done also, I'm not sure why they're not written down. And I did ball joints just before my hub. Literally the same week. Huh)

131,885 miles; 10-30-14
Changed oil. Royal Purple 15w40 and Mobil 1 filter.

132,680 milea; 11-17-14
Replaced Pittman arm with new from Lucky 8.

135,300 miles; 2-8-15
Replaced coils and Spark plug wires. 8mm STI wires used.

135,635 miles; 2-20-15
Replaced battery w/AutoCraft AGM when optima died in the cold weather.

Looks like a couple things were missing. I also retrofitted projectors. All of this was copied directly from my notebook.

I want to hear more about these Ford spacers for the rear springs. What kind of spacers from what year and model truck? Where did you get them and how much lift did you get?
