I have just purchased a 1995 300 Tdi Discovery and been told that the camshaft belt and pulleys should be replaced as soon as possible. Can anyone tell me anything more? Is it an easy job, what parts do i need, and what do they cost?

 

The car seems to run perfectly. So I sort of hope it's not neccesary to replace parts

 

If you don't know the cars history you should replace them to be safe, as otherwise its an expensive fix. There's also a mod kit, as the cam belt is prone to premature failure on the 300tdi engine.
