Default 4.0/4.6 rotating Assembly

I know on the GEMS 4.0 engine you can preform the 4.6 crank and rod swap with 4.0 pistons and just tell the computer its a 4.6. What about the BOSCH? I have a 00 Disco 2 that i am resealing and was thinking of putting the 4.6 crank and rods in and just use the 4.0 pistons. or should i use the 4.6 pistons also? I did not know if the 4.0 pistons would be ok or not. Any advise would be great.

I plan on building the disco up.

From what I have read, the 4.0 pistons will give you more compression.

4.6 crank and rods with 4.0 pistons is becoming a common swap with boshe also.

Ok I was not sure if it would change readings enough that the ecu would adjust for it and make the swap not worth it. And if i had to do any computer swaps or flashes..

4.0 Pistons feel like you have more power, but I am always wondering if it's just because the motor is fresh.

I guess I need to put one on a dyno.
