4.0 into a 1994 Discovery?
Can a 4.0 engine from a 1995 P38 Range Rover be swapped into a 1994 Discovery I (3.9)?
What do I need to be aware of?
It seems that there are possible headgasket problems with the 3.9, so exploring my options.
Thanks
Alfredo

The discovery was overheating and we tried everything. Nothing seemed to work until we rodded the radiator, then the overheating seemed to stopped. I wrote on another thread that I ran it hard for a while and nothing happened.
Well, the temperature gauge has started to creep up again, and, while we don't let it go past "10 o'clock" or so, I am afraid that it will only get worse.
The 4.0 I have in a P38 that I've recently decommisioned due to excessive wear in the inside, etc. But the engine was running beautifully, not heating up at all, not consuming oil, etc. I am exploring my options and want to know if it is viable to swap the 4.0 into the Discovery.
