Pretty clean looking engine, yeah, they may have steam cleaned it before its photo shoot...but it still looks like it was a pretty clean motor to begin with...no excessive staining on aluminum from years of leakage.

And yes...the angle of the picture makes it look different and hard to verify...until you really take a good look.

This engine isn't from SWEngines is it? I had a run in with them a last year and I swear I was sent the exact picture and almost fell for the low mileage and warranty. Feel free to email/PM me if you need details, do not send them any money if it is. If I am totally wrong, please ignore this warning, Yes that is a 4.0 or 4.6.

 

If they are a scam, out them publicly. What good is s forum if information like yours is not made public.

 

It's from remanns premium used engines. I'll call them today and make an offer and go from there. They are wanting $1595 shipped and will accept reasonable offers. Does anyone know anything about them? They list it as having 76k miles. Even if I pay their asking I don't think it's a bad price for a low mileage motor. D*

 

Ask for the VIN of the car the motor came from( tell them it's to check compatibility) then run the VIN on carfax to find the last recorded mileage.
