50mph speed wobble - FIXED
Finally.. after months, no, a couple of years.
Was…..

Tires.
I’m so irritated that i didn’t go that route to start with.. hind sight and everything.
Ive been through steering box tighten, steering shaft coupling, upper ball joints, lower ball joints, steering damper, sway bar links.
Someone pointed out my tires were feathered after I mentioned they were starting to hum.
I feel like an idiot.
Swapped today and it’s now like I’m driving a Bentley.
I didn’t even know what feathering was. They weren’t that old, and plenty of tread left. Didn’t cross my mind.
The thing I’m most annoyed with is I now still have leaky axle seals after my lower ball joint swap drama with a shop.
Nice way to start the weekend tho, with a smooth ride.

Tires can make such a huge difference. Obviously lol I hate the way one of mine rides and I'm 100% sure it's the KO2s as I've swapped suspensions like 3 times on it and it never changed unless the truck is fully loaded and can get enough weight on the E rated tires.
Tire feathering is caused by wheel alignment being out of spec. The only alignment adjustment on the DII is toe in/out. There are no adjustments for caster or camber.
There are YouTube and other resources online showing how to do a DIY check/adjustment of toe. Perhaps you had the alignment done when you got the new tires, but if not do it now so that the problem isn't repeated.
