is there any easier way to change the wires without having to take off the air inlet manifold?

It took me 3 hours the first time, 1.5 the second... And yes, little hands are preferred to do the job! Also, make sure you don't "swap" any of the wires, not only will she run horribly, it will cost you double the time (see my own track record of 3 hours the first time and 1.5 the second...). It will be easiest to do the bottom row first.
