car sits intermittently... we changed the thermostat. started her up. drove around a couple days.. parked.. then suddenly it wont start. it cranks and sounds like it just barely begins to kick over but just keeps cranking. gas smell from around the front of the vehicle has been noticed. any ideas?

 

when were plugs and wires last replaced?
