Default 95 Disco tranny dosent like being cold!

This recently purchased disco won't shift out of first untill it warms up. I've fixed a major leak in the tranny cooling line to the rad and have flushed the fluid with new but the problem is still there. This seems like a sensor issue to me as the tranny shifts fine all day long after its warm.
Is this a common problem with these? Thank's for any help at all.

Hi Mike, the truck has 203,000 kilometers. I've also noticed today that it wont down shift into 2nd gear. It will down shift from drive to 3rd okay but when I try second the rpms drop down to idle and I just coast. Then when I down shift to first, it grabs and the rpms jump up as the engine slows me down. I'm now guessing that a rebuild is in order?

That's not good, I hate to say it, but it is time to at least talk to a good transmission man for his thoughts.
