Default 97 d1 Front axles

Curious, thinking about going to a air locker in my front diff and im trying to figure out the best way to go ? I heard aussie locker are pretty affordable but have never heard of them before and cant seem to find them for my truck, or land rovers in general. Im am also trying to find out what spline the front axles are. Any input on this would be great.

They are a 24 spline and I have not heard of that locker, only the ARB when it comes to air. What are you using in the rear?

Default lockers

Just the standard Disco diff on the rear. I suppose I should also ask if it would be best to install on the front or rear if only installing one, ( the price for them is a bit more than i have at the moment).

I've heard of aussie lockers, but dont know anyone thats run one.

I do know they are not selectable lockers, can't turn 'em on and off. I dont think that would be ideal for a front app. thats street driven.

Their selling point is you dont have to dissasemble the ring and pinion, installable(is that even a word?) by the average joe

I think most would do a rear if only doing one

Rear first, then if you still think you need more traction, add a front.

I wouldn't put a locker in the front, unless it's selectable.
The argument could be made that, depending on where you off-road, a limited slip in the front would give more benefit since you loose traction on the front first on hills. Same logic as putting the chains on the front if all you have is one set.
Most people, however, go with the rear first, but it really depends on the type of off-roading and location.
