Talking 97 disco brake issues

Hi everyone newbie here. I have a 97 disco and i am having a issue. Sometimes when i press my brakes i get allot of feed back and grinding like sound as if the brakes are going to fall off. It almost sounds like something is getting caught. When this happen i have to force the break down to get the car to stop. It doesnt happen often and usually only in the mornings when its cold outside.

If anyone has any ideas i would really appreciate it.

What have you done to inspect it? I would start by removing the tire and taking a look.

Try this first, pull the ABS fuse from under the dash and then go and have a free brake inspection done at your local brake/muffler shop.
Report back when done.
Keep the ABS fuse pulled for a week and let us know what you find out.

Your ABS is engaging, so something is a little haywire with a wheel sensor. Check all of your brakes, and while you have the tire off, gently tap the wheel sensors back in so they seat. Odds are that your wheel reads when you are going slow, and is not reading when you are braking. I would also suggest you check all of the wheels for play. If your wheel bearings are loose, it could cause this as well...
