Mine always felt like the back was trying to pass the front.

Yeah, I can see that. Was yours loose on the left, right, or both?

Mine was loose on both sides. Looser on the right (passenger) side and that was the side that felt like it was always trying to pass me.
Only happened on the expressway, and I drive the expressway everyday so it became a problem.

Another guy said that in this thread. Do you think it's possible that since it's tight on one side , and loose on the other, that it would make a difference?

Shamefully, I must admit that I didn't look at what the mechanic saw, only heard what he said. So to be sure, are these the bushings/linkages we're talking about?

Yes, the bottom ones are the ones that are loose and need to be tightened.
They will look/feel tight but they are not.

I'm not mechanically inclined as of yet....will I need a torque wrench or something of the sort to get it tight enough?

The proper way to fix it is to replace those worn out bushings.
The way mine was fixed is my guy put two wrenches on the nuts and tightened them as tight as he could.
The truck was on the lift and he and his partner just wrenched them tight, the whole truck wiggles as they tightened them.
