Antichrist I am glad you pointed it out though because sometimes as I write a message that sounds good to me it may be misunderstood by others, and we are all here to help!
So to roving patrol: my suggestion would be to determine the severity of the issue and fix it depending on that (if it is really bad take it to a pro ASAP, if it is just a vibration put it at the top of your to do list don't put it off for too long because it will usually cause many other problems pretty quick), as for the stabilizer its job (in as few words as possible) is to help absorb movement between the steering components and the chassis, so that the front wheels don't wonder when the road directs them (like ruts and bumps)
now on a side note IMO many times when things wear in the steering system this puts extra wear on the steering damper and will cause it to fail so once you figure out what is causing your vibration and fix that you may want to replace the steering damper afterward.
