Default 98 disco brakes acting up

I've got a 98 disco, 122.000 miles on it.from time to time whenever i hit the brakes, I hear a wierd buzzing sound, the brake pad rattles and it feels like i lose some of brake pressure? It only does this momentarily and seems to stop when i push harder on the brake. I took it in and they told me i needed new brake pads, but that didn't help one bit. do you guys have any ideas of what's going on? the abs light does come onperiodically. I've checked my brake fluid, and it's fine as well. thanks for any help/advice given.

Is your ABS light on? Who replaced the brake pads and what brand did they use?
When was the last time you flushed all the old brake fluid from your truck?

My ABS light comes on when i start the car then turns off, but every once in a while while driving it'll come on than off. I took it to precision auto tune, I don't know what brand, but i had to shell out 188.00 for the front brake pads to be replaced, (probably got taken for, lol) I haven't flushed the brake fluid yet, don't know how too... Also mike you told me earlier that there was something you have to move in order to drop the transmission fluid pan, what is it and how do you get it out of the way? cause i tried to change it and couldn't drop the pan. lol getting off subject but thanks

usuallyon a d1 youll get an 'air gap too large' code, basicly means that the abs sensor, one of them at least, is sitting out of the swivle ball too far, check them, try and push them back in if you can, but dont use a hammer. past that, you need to see what codes you have. shell out the buck 50 or so to get them read, or if you consider yourself pretty good with takin apart trim and electrical stuff, you can read flash codes yourself. but anyway, the problem that youre having is abs activation, its seeing one wheel too slow, and tries to fix it.
