98 Disco - no fuel pressure

Thanks!! I ordered a kit that eliminates the rusting issues and makes it easier to change. I will probably have a tough time replacing it the first time as I have had it 3 years and never done it. I know, shame, shame.....

As far as I know the relay powers the pump not the sending unit. (fuel level)
It would make sense if the relay powered the whole thing, no fuel gauge bad relay, simple enough.
In the future you can buy your fuel filter at Wal-Mart for $11, it will be just the filter but thats ok.
I replace mine once a year because the threads rust and when they do you will never get the filter off the truck.
Took me 3 hours to replace my fuel filter the first time, now it takes 15 min, I dont even need to lift the truck off the ground.
Let us know when its back on the road.

Had him help me do my O2 sensors a few months back when they started throwing codes and there was no way I would have got them on my own.

Got the relay and fuel filter in today. 30 second process to change out the relay, in my good dress clothes mind you, and started right up.
Have read that when changing out them CKP sensors that the truck will run a little rough till the computer reprograms itself and boy is that true. Drove about 12 miles tonight and by the end I could already tell a little difference. Going to drive it to work tomorrow and get some more miles on it to get it acclimated.
Thanks again for the help guys. At least I dont have to worry about a fuel pump or CKP sensor for a while now. Now just to reserve an afternoon to do the filter and hopefully no more work for a while on it. ;-)

We are gonna go motorcycle riding but no camping probably. Last weekend we were supposed to meet up with a bunch of people and camp/ride all weekend but I spent it on here researching fuel pressure related issues. Did not even have stuff lined up to work on the house since I figured we would be out of town. Oh well, it is going and I am glad!!

If you have the RAVE repair manual it points it out pretty easily.
