Default 98 DISCO TICKING NOISE

When accelerating or idling a ticking noise seems to be coming from engine, its not very loud but it does not sound normal, can anyone tell me what could be the cause?

start by checking your oil level, or viscosity. Probaly a lier or valve.

I have a 99 D1 V8 and the exhaust headers were simply loose try just tightening the header bolts.

Bottom line, you will get a ticking sound as mentioned from an exhast leak or some dirty lifters/rockers.
How many miles on your truck, how often do you change your oil and what octane gas do you run?
