Default 98 Disco won't start

Worked fine yesterday and won't start today. Won't even turn over. With the key in the ignition there is a ticking noise coming from under the glove box. I tried taking it out of park, then back in, and it would then crank but not start. Also, while trying to start it when it would not crank, if you quickly push the accelerator to the floor it will start to crank. The ticking continues throughout all of this.
I replaced the crank shaft sensor last year.
Any ideas before I get the pros involved?

Check/charge your battery, what is the voltage?

Battery is fine. It is not the ticking you get when the battery is low. It is fairly loud, right under the glove box.
Ideas?

Sure, that is a relay, now go check your battery I don't want to know it is fine, I want to know the voltage with the engine off and at idle.

OK. 12.35 with the key in and no key in at all. 12.02 with the starter engaged but not cranking. 10.8 when I get it to crank.
The ticking/clicking noise is throughout the engine as well, can't isolate where it is coming from but it seems to be on the right side.

Check out this thread of mine. May help, may not, but maybe some of the symptoms and solutions will help you. https://landroverforums.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=19583

I don't have a code reader. Guess it's time to get one if I want to tackle these issues myself. The starter motor cranks fine when I can get it to and the battery seems fine.
Fuel or ignition? How can I test for that?

Check all your connections between the starter and battery. Also check all of your grounds between the battery and starter. If those are all good, I agree with spike, probably the starter. Although it sounds like you have more than one problem.
