Thanks for the replies. I'll try your suggestions but it looks like I might have to bite this one and send it off to the shop.

Almost sure that the loud click you here is the starter solenoid. I would pull out the starter. It is not such a big job and the replacement is not that expensive.

Check for fuel PSI at the fuel rail by turning the key to the "on" position and then pressing the schrader valve on the fuel rail and see if gas squirts you in the eyes.
If it does then you have adiquite PSI, if it dribbles like a old man trying to pee then you have a clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump.

Thanks for all the replies.
The bugger decided to fix itself. Got it to the shop and the guy gets in and it turns right over.
The car was getting rained on for five straight days so I guess something got water logged. I'll have to wait until it happens again.
