I was going to post this in the appearance section but didnt seem as if it was active. So i decided to post it in here.

I was in an accident with my 99 Disco Series II and it needs some repair. Unfortunately, the front passenger headlamp and front bumper are in need of repair/replacement. Are the 05 headlamps and 05 front bumper w/fog lamps compatible with my Disco? Can i get these parts installed without a conversion kit? Or will i need a conversion kit for either part?

The o5 is not a Disco but an LR3 and no they don't cross over. Best you could do and it could be a little expensive depending on the amount of your damage would be to use parts from an 04 Disco.

My mistake I think I really meant 2004 with the driving lamps on the front of the bumper and the dual purpose headlamp. Correct me if I'm wrong. I will have to replace the front bumper of my 99 and the headlight so I was thinking of just modernizing it to latest year I could for my 99Disco II, which has the driving lamps on the bottom portion of the bumper. Will my repair shop need a conversion kit for what I was thinking. If they don't than it might be worth itwhat do you think?? Maybe I could update the look with out to much out of pocket $$$.

 

You can buy a whole bumper/ light package off of some of these Rover salvage yards. might want to check with one like,

as for aftermarket bumpers...according to most of the sales people I spoke with.....there is a break year at 2003 for discos. Basically 03 and 04 front ends are different from previous years. Now here is the questionable thing, I was asking if I could buy the pre-'03 bumpers because they were cheaper...the response was "yes, BUT there will be minor cosmetic issues such as not all lines will match exactly." Take that for what it is worth because I chickened out and bought the '03 bumper. Good luck to you, I went with the TJM, hefty price tag, but much cheaper than stealer, and it fitgood.
