Default 99 DISCO II wouldnt start, M and S lights flashing, dead

so I havnt driven the the car since 2 days ago and I go to start it, and it just clicks and the M and S lights start flashing. The lights cant turn on but after a few seconds, everything is dead. I jump the car and everything is fine now, any ideas? The battery isnt that old, a little over a year old, close to 2 years old

It is either a bad battery or a bad alternator.
Have them tested.

None of that matters, I had a new alternator go bad in 5,000 miles.
I have also seen batteries that were bad out of the box.
You either have a bad battery, bad alternator, bad/loose belt or a short that isn draining your battery.
The alt and battery as the easiest and cheapest place to start as they are free to test.
