97 DI Idle issue and P1178,P1448,P0300 codes
For those that don't know I work on some of the very few LR's on island on the weekends apart from my regular job. I don't know as much as you guys but I treat customer's cars like my own and try to use the forum(s) to help.
Any way, the owner of my current project is Emma, she has owned her 97 DI since new and it now has 104k miles. I looked at it yesterday and its in VERY GOOD shape. I told her to sell it to me if she ever gets rid of it! It seems to idle a little high during start-up even after the initial high rev we're used to. (I'll try an get more details)
I noticed the two crank case vent hoses noted in the pic are completely cracked and need replacement. (The pic is of the second DI and used for reference)

1. Seafoam induction cleaning
2. Throttle body cleaning
3. Pull the plugs for inspection
4. Informed her that new plugs and wires may be in order depending on results after 1 and 2. (She's searching her service records for date of wire/plug replacement)
WHAT DO YOU ALL RECOMMEND?
Thanks

Will do Mike. Thanks for the chat.
Game plan is to do everything mentioned above. In addition, I will be cleaning the stepper motor, checking all vacuum lines and will run an additional 2 bottles seafoam in the gas tank (1 per bottle per fill-up) and then replace fuel filter after 3rd fill-up.
I'll update this thread once it's all done.

sounds like you have got it under control. the red light is for emissions. There is a relay you can stick a paper clip into to reset it. There is a write up on D-web.
Running regular fuel will do this to the truck.

Some members on discoweb don't like me... well they don't like my mods. LOL.
Anyway you mean this?

it is under their tech tab. I agree that there are a lot of fanny heads over there, but there are some good write ups with pics in the tech section. Wish we had that.... Enough people have posted pics of things.. I might just have to host a website...
UPDATE:
Replaced both crank case hoses, Cleaned Throttle body, have to order seafoam cuz the ONLY NAPA on island ran out since i keep buying their stock. =)
Key ignition cylinder was getting stuck so i used graphite powder key lube and the owner said it works like new. She still wants Seafoam and fuel filter replaced.
Now the only code is P1178 AMFR Correction At Maximum Positive Value.
Suggestions?

Which means that her carbon canister may be full or one of the valves to it may be blocked/clogged.
