About to order lucky8 front driveshaft...
Good day,
Was just about to order the lucky 8 front drive shaft for my weekend warrior. My existing driveshaft squeaks and has a vibration when decelerating. This being said I don't want to spend a ton of money on the new shaft. I spoke with Justin at Lucky 8 on Friday and he seemed to say that it would be fine for medium duty applications and is fully serviceable.
Not sure if anyone can comment on the quality...
This being said, can I re-use my existing driveshaft bolts or do I have to order new ones? If so, who sells them (didn't see them on the lucky 8 site) and how much, remember I am on a budget.
Thanks for the input guys.

They are a great driveshaft for the $$$. I'm running them on both of mine now after having issues with a HD shaft from somewhere else. If I remember right they both came with 4 new bolts and eight nylock nuts. If I'm wrong though you can pick up new nuts from about any hardware store for only a few bucks.

Go for it. I have the Lucky 8 front drive shaft. I also have another brand that is sitting on the garage floor right now. The Lucky 8 comes with 4 new bolts and 8 new nylocs. Just go ahead and use the new bolts. I can't remember what grade they're supposed to be, probably Grade 8, but you shouldn't mix grades between nuts and bolts. Just use them. Good luck.

Ok I am sold on the drive shaft, thank you all for the positive feedback.
However I am slightly confused. It's ok to use the four new supplied bolts and nylocs but I can't use the additional 4 new nuts with my other 4 old bolts? Why wouldn't they just give you 8 of each so you could be done with it?

I think the reason you don't get all 8 bolts is because the bolts on the transfer case side don't have enough room to be removed unless you remove the coupler that is attached to the transfer case. You can remove it you want to change the bolts, it's got a huge nut on it. I used a 1.25" socket on it and impact gun(a little loose, but worked. I think it is actually a 31mm).
