That would explain it. Thanks guys for all your input. Will order the drive shaft on Monday!

The nut is an M20 x 2.5. A 1 3/16 works just fine on it. Once you remove the nut and remove the flange you will need to remove the large snap ring in order to remove the bolts. Just note that if you remove the flange you will loose some gear oil. Plus you can risk damaging the seal.

My advice is if the bolts are fine, then don't worry about replacing. As we know you fix one thing on these trucks and your bound to cause another problem.

One of the first things I replaced when I got my DII was the drive shaft. Mine is also from Lucky 8 and its been fine so far. As others have said, they come with 4 bolts and 8 nylocks. Pretty straight forward swap.

I took a couple of pictures for reference to make sure I put the new one in correctly. If you also find that if the Disco moves ever so slightly (before the new drive shaft goes in), you won't be able to line up the holes properly. You'll have to jack one of the front tires up so you can spin the pinion flange.

Hey guys, I took out my driveshaft this morning and was able to confirm quickly that my front shaft was indeed finished. Here's a link to a video I posted.

Hope my drive shaft arrives from lucky 8 soon.

Thanks for everyones help.
For bleeding the coolant try this-
Elevate the coolant reservoir and fill it up to the max line. Now open the bleed screw and start squeezing the top and bottom hoses going to the Thermostat and try and draw in coolant. Continue to do that until coolant starts to come out of the bleed screw without air.

After the coolant starts to come out, I usually take the bleed screw completely out and run a good amount of coolant through the system (never allow the coolant in the tank to go below minimum level (best to keep it as close to the max line as possible). Once I am satisfied that just coolant is pouring from the bleed hole I install the screw, start the car, and put the heater up on full blast. Once the heater starts to blow hot air I go for a good drive with the heater still on full blast. I've always had good luck doing it this way. I hope you have the same.

@ me6067- I just installed mine 2 weeks ago, Justin from Lucky8 sent all the hardware needed. I did have to reuse 4 bolts. I couldn't be happier with the new drive shaft sent, very nice, straight forward install as well.
