Off-road use only? Why is that? Does the ABS amigo disable ABS/what does it do?

The offroad only reference is probably a "CYA" thing. The Amigo reads active ABS codes, stores them internally, erases the codes in the Disco, then the owner can read the codes by plugging the Amigo into a USB port. Handy little item. And no, it's not left plugged in while you drive. (either on or off road)

Yeah - CYA: Don't drive while it's plugged in. That's all.

Has anyone thought of pooling together to buy one of these? Like four or five guys pitch in some dough and then just mail it back and forth when needed?

Some clubs already do that. But I'm sure a group other than club members can organize something like that easily.

My 2c: If you're going to pool money to buy one, you might consider getting more people on board (say 5 or 6) and get a Hawkeye.

Nice Job. I've got my Amigo in the mail and it should be here tomorrow. I can't wait to get rid of the "Three Amigos". Did you notice a difference in the braking after you fixed the shuttle valve?

When you did the shuttle valve job, did you but just the seal kit($39.99) or the Switch and seal kit ($133.45)?
