Well let me know when you get ready to do it, I'll put a deposit down, cover shipping, whatever you need. I just want these damn lights gone!

Ok. I'm still in the process of fixing mine. When I'm done we can start this deal.

I've owned one for years and don't really need mine. Have another tool that does the job as well. I might be willing to do something like this as well.

Try or look at one of these

I've bought the Lynx and it is brilliant. Can diagnose the exact faults, program engines, suspension and bleed properly the ABS modulator.

France, what do you mean by program engines? Can it adjust fuel trim or timing?

I just happened on this thread and it is a great idea. A member loaned me his for shipping and when I was done with it he had me ship it to another member, and so on. Very useful tool.

I think if you are dealing with people who really participate in the forums, abd they accept respobaibility for it, the chances of it going missing are very small. The honest fact is that once you fix your three amigos there is very little need for one.

That lynx system is very very nice, BTW.

I have one as well. If anyone in the Philly - South or Central Jersey area needs to use one, I'd be willing to get together and loan it out. I really don't want to go through process of sending it all over, but I'm more than willing to let someone use it.

I bought it when I had the three amigo's. I fixed the brake problem ( rotors and pads cured the problem ) and cleared the codes. It just sits in my workshop now.

I have only played with the TD5 engine and sensors and not the V8 as yet. I can imagine the same functions are also for the V8. On my TD5 it can adjust fuel delivery, advance/retard timing and re-code new injectors all via the EMU.

It has very comprehensive capabilities on the whole of the common D2 functions.

You'll need a laptop, tablet or smart phone. It would be better with a touch screen as the software is touch screen compatible. The interface into computer/laptop is a standard USB fitting so you'll need another cable or different cable or a mini/micro USB cable or an standard USB to mini/micro converter for a phone or tab. Alternative cables are available. The system runs on Wndows XP Pro, Vista, 7, or 8.1 so specify suitable compatibility.

It's worth checking with someone like Atlantic British as the US spec may vary to the European spec interface unit.

The standard domestic interface functions is exactly the same as the pro unit only the range of LR vehicles is different for the Pro unit and includes them all whereas the domestic unit is for only one vehicle.

I'm looking for a cheap used tab that is compatible rather than a computer as my 15" HP is too large and unwieldy for the job and the wife won't let me use her tab

Ok. Haven't forgotten about this. Was dealing with ABS issues on several trucks. Now it's up for grabs for rent to pass around. Let me know who wants it first and I'll send it out. Then pass it along.

PS there is a good deal on one to purchase in the classified section right now. That's what reminded me of this.
