ABS Downhill and TC Light are on
You might want to do a search, there are hundred of posts with the same questions that have been answered in just the last year, then if you still have a question I'll be glad to help.
yup, you know you're a mamber of the Land Rover club when you get the three lights of death. Mine happens everytime the ABS kicks on which happens a lot while pulling my boat.
Hi,
I am a new member of the LR Club
(Got the 3 lights on, 2001 Disco, 155K km).If the ABS ECU senses a failure even for a small period of time, Does it disable all the related functions? Or it will continue tofunction normally once the errors got cleared, butleaving the warning signals on? How I can check the functionality of ABC, TC and HDC in a user’s point of view?
Thanks in Advance.

The test would be to try braking hard on a loose surface, if you feel the ABS pulsate thru the brake pedal, then you know that is working. The other two functions are tested on a loose hill of a trail. That is about the only way to know for sure.
If you can then find a shop that will scan your system for faults, write down the code numbers and ask to have the faults cleared. Most likely they won't come on again, if the same one comes on again then you will need to look at a possible part replacement.

It takes more than one occurance before it disables the system. I was seeing the lights come on when I had a detroit locker in the rear and it was not behaving well and caused shuddering in the system and that brought it out. If you're getting it when braking towing you may want to consider another type of brake pads. Does your trailer have a surge brake? I could see that causing it... if it does consider going to a brake controller and hydraulic brakes for a more smooth braking with the load.
