It will probably come back on again, you may have a loose or dirty speed sensor, dirty brake fluid or dusty and squeaky brake all of which will cause this to happen.

They do squeak a lot but they have always done that, the brake dust has always been crazy and I am probably going to get low-dust ones next time I get pads. But is there anyway to stop the squeak?? Oh yeah, when I hit the brakes on a steep hill (off road) they vibrate and it takes some time to stop, does this mean the junkyard bell is tolling for my brake pads???

Sounds like you need to up grade your brakes to ab better quailty brake pad next time around and replace your warped rotors also. Both of these parts will cause the ECU to throw a code.

Check out my Brake Kits at www.eurotekapg.com We use PBR pads and Brembo or Brake Engineering rotors. In the kit I include a small bottle of a anti-squeal liquid that you paint the friction material surface with -- let it dry for 15 minutes-- and then install the pads. We have been using this combination for 2 years now at the Land Rover shop we operate, and have not had one come-back for brake squeak since!

I'd stay away from Pads from Mintex-- as they almost always squeak when applying pedalat slow speed.
