Default ABS Modulator

I like many have the issue with the 3 light curse, I have had my OBD II read and received fault codes: P1590, P0305 and P0134. Under further investigation under the hood I relized that I could hear an electronic pulse coming from the ABS Modulator with the engine off (key not in the ignition). Could this be a cause? Is this the result of the Wheel Speed Sensor registering to large of a gap? Any help appreciated.

Also, just recently I got my truck pretty heavily stuck, took several hours with large utility blocks to inch my way out. Problem, about a week later I started noticing a vibration whn I accelerated above 35-40 mph (maybe 3rd gear?). Then today, a week after I noticed the vibration my transmission oil temperature light came on briefly. Any ideas.

Thanks for any insight!

Clean the underside very well, then get under it with a flashlight and some paper towels (they make a great pillow if you don't have a crawler). Look for fluid and if you find it wipe it off with the paper towels to see what color it is and if it comes back later.

Check everything, then tell us what you see.

What year is your truck? I agree you should check for dried mud under the truck but you also my have a front drive shaft failing, how many miles on your truck?
As for your fault codes, you have a misfire on #5 plug, a bad O2 sensor on Bank 1- 1, the other code I can't find.
Get back to me.

My truck is a 2000 and I have 126000 miles on it. I cleaned the underside as well as I could, did not see to much mud buid-up. Did notice whatlooked like some oil and antifreeze around the front of the engine. I looked for a source and found what looked like a leak coming from an area on top of the engine where there are a couple of little (1/4") entering??? Could not locate source of oil leak, however between oil changes I may need to add 1/2 court of oil or so. ***Back to the transmission question, through inspection I noticed a rubber cap (2" diameter) was not fitted into the hole inwhich it covered properly. Cap seemed to be in sideways. Not sure what the hole is for, there is one on either side of the engine right at point which engine meets tranny flange.

Did you ever figure out why you are hearing the pulse when the engine is off? I too have the three amigos and am refusing to pay the dealer. I hear the same pulsing signal going to the modulator. What code signaled the bad O2 sensor?

I am learning more about cars since I bought this LR a couple of years ago. Oh, also, where can I get replacement ATF filler/level plug and drain plug?
