I have 3amigos visiting randomly, sometimes just abs+tc light.
When turning ignition key ACE light is illuminating. However if turn the key quick enough then no ACE on dash.
codes are:
(16,2) high speed crank (logged).
(22,1) road speed missing,(logged).
23-15 shuttle valve switch electrical fail - intermittent 123 times
fault 01-05 upper and lower accelerometer signal too different

Any advice where to start?
I've checked the wheel hubs and no play detected.
I'm going to do the B option modulator mod.
Should I replace the abs sensor wires and solder them?
Regards
Just do the Option B. See what happens after. Strong chance that is all that is needed.

Default Option B did it for me....i think.

Well I just did option b mod and must say I believe it was a success. Prior to this (6 months ago) I replaced the shuttle valve as recomended. withing a week, the amigos were back. so I blew it off because i was mad. They came and went. Last week ordered the Icarsoft930, tried to clear the Amigos and they would not clear. So a I said F-it. stopped by northern tool, grabbed a trailer harness and tackled it today. took me a total of maybe about 1-1.5 hours. But I have not truly tested it out, my 3 year old is napping, once he gets up time to test it out. I was able to clear the fault code though and no lights on the dash for the 10 minutes of idling an playing with the code reader. Anyways, at this point I highly recommend the option b fix.

The link here takes me to a scam virus site - the one that wants you to pay to get rid of the virus they just installed. My scanner picked it up.

If you click the link at the bottom of the very first post under "Well everyone, here is MY ABS Modulator fix write up." it is indeed corrupt. I had trouble shutting down all the malware pop ups.

However the link @ the top "Moderator edit: updated link: ABS Mod - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I." That one works fine.

Default Abs thread now a scam site

Please can someone repost the 3 amigo fix? These links all go to ads and I can't find original post anywhere.

I did the "option b" procedure today on my 03 Discovery and it fixed the problem! Many thanks to all the knowledgeable people here. I did buy the Amigo scanner from RSW solutions and it works great. I had multiple codes stored- the last one being the shuttle valve switch. I took the chance and did the rewire and all is good so far.

This forum rocks!

I rarely look at my forum signature, but I noticed today that as of last month my truck has been AMIGO FREE for five years! It's nowhere nearly as important or impressive as celebrations we see by former addicts of being alcohol-free or drug-free for a month, six months, a year, five years and so on, but in the context of Rover World it feels pretty damn good.
