Default ABS Sensor loose in hub assembly.

Brand new hub assembly and the abs sensor is loose not seated properly in the hub. Can the sensor be simply pushed back in? It's been a while since I've replaced a wheel hub assembly.

Yes, there should be an o-ring in there to keep it snug.

Does it require removing the hub assembly?

Yes and no, you can remove the sensor from the hub mounting but the connector will not fit through the hole between the hub and knuckle on the front hubs (another ****ty design by LR, I want to kick the engineers ***).
