AC Blower, Voltage Question

AC Blower, Voltage Question
My AC/Heat blower slowly stopped working over the past month(working intermittently), now nothing.
After reading the threads I've sourced it down to a few potential fixes;
On first inspection of the ignition (brown w/red) to the Blower unit, I don't see any sign of a burn out.
What I did notice is that with the ignition in the AUX position(1st position) I get a solid 12 volts going to the blower, yet when I put the ignition in the (2nd position) as to power up the AC- it flats out, shorts out. Any clue where I should look?
