Ac condenser fan short

I replaced my ac fan with the Corolla fan as suggested because it was locked up. All went well but now it blows that 40 fuse immediately. Any thoughts on where to look ?

Short to ground, before the load(fan), will always blow the fuse.

or the fan has a fault and is drawing to many amps.

New fan? Junk Yard Fan? Test it before installing it via a 12v battery? If it ran fine out of the D2 then yep it's wiring issue.
