Hello All

Has anyone changed an AC Vent box?. My Truck is blowing cold air on the drivers side and heat on the passenger. It is located just to the right of the door you can open under the steering wheel that allows access under the dash. The control module for the drivers side is stripped and will no longer step up or down the temp. I can manually move a lever and it will adjust the temp but it's getting old crawling under the dash to adjust it.

Does the dash have to come out or can it be removed another way?

 

Ive heard the dash needs to come out to replace. Also the box gets very brittle and causes low air to the actual vents as the air is escaping into the dash. I was quoted about $1,000 to replace from my indie
