Exclamation AC not blowing out air

Hey guys new to the forum here. So my 2000 Discovery II SE is having a bit of an issue. Having not driven it for about 3-4 months I start her up again after having to deal with it's unbelievable security system(The battery was dead and so the horn was going off for about 8 minutes till the system reset itself. I live in an apartment area) and the AC is not actually blowing out air.

What's happening is once you turn on the A/C you can hear something compressing(I'd assume it's air) and you can hear the engine using a bit of power, but not air seems to blow out the vents. Any ideas? I'm planning on driving it more often soon so I'd like to get everything nice an running.

I must say for a car that's 14-15 years old it's done a great job and still runs nicely despite the squeaks from turning at times. A while back the engine did have cooling problems as-well as alternator problems but my dad and I quickly resolved that. The three notorious amigos are still displaying but it's not something I worry too much on. Also 2 windows don't work but that of course is on the checklist as-well.

I bit off-topic and on-topic as-well but the discovery was in a bit of a fender bender a few weeks back and rendering the rover un suitable for the road, in this essence it's not legal to drive. The bumper was smashed to bits and one light is out as-well as the hood having some dents on it which resolves the hood useless and needs replacing as-well. besides that the discovery works just as good as before. I'll try to post pictures of the damage and see what you guys can tell me needs replacing but for now I want to get feedback on the A/C

fuses/relays......me thinks f6 and/or f7 (blowers). relay not sure maybe r10, you will have to look.

some things to consider with the crash. you could have knocked loose some wires or busted a line. don't know the severity of the damage. pop the hood and have a look. is the compressor coming on then off or staying on? is your auxiliary a/c fan working with the system? head pressure can build and shut down ac? but it sounds more like a blower issue. check fuses first.

I will thanks guys, by the way the A/C wasn't blowing air prior to the crash. I was unable to take picture today as it was late by the time I got home and too dark. Will attempt tommorow.

I will check out the fuses tommorow as-well

This is a common issue usually related to a bad interior fuse box. Change the box and you should be good.

So I managed to take a few photos of the damage done to the car. So far I've determined I need a new grill, front bumper, hood, and right head light. Not sure what I can do about the area for where the hood locks, maybe sledgehammer it back not sure. As-well as the long metal piece bent inwards. Not sure what that is.

As for the A/C I checked the interior fuse box and the fuses for the fans were fine, check the exterior fuse box and R6 which seemed to signify the fan was a huge fuse which was something I wasn't expect so can't be sure if that's blown or not. Anway it'd be nice if you guy can check out the photos and tell me what else needs replacing.

Also the fan infront of the radiator doesn't turn on and I'm not sure exactly what it's for. I was told that is turns on at the appropriate times but not sure.

one more note, I took these photos at around 7 or so so its a bit dark. If its too dark to recognize details then ill try and take a daytime photo whenever I get the chance.

Sorry about the large photos, tried putting it in a spoiler but looks like that doesn't work here

electric fan in front of the radiator should turn on when engine temp hits 210.

Run 12V direct to see if it works, if not you should replace it. Hey, I just happen to have one I can sell you! Imagine that...
