Default AC stopped blowing after underbody carwash.

Is the blower motor working or is it just blowing warm air, instead of cold?

Yes, what I'd suggest if the blower motor stopped is that water got in the air intake, and on the fan, and / or on the fan connectors somehow which happens when a-pillars or firewalls leak. There's a connector to the blower motor that is a known problem in the D2. Usually it melts.

If it's the AC not cooling air any longer ie AC compressor stopped - unsure exactly what might be wrong, but I'd bet on a similar wiring issues. If it starts working in a few days after it dries out... then I'd bet a water ingress into wiring issue.

Stopped Blowing completely. When you turn off the AC cold air .... cold air wafts out. So the system is cold .. it's just not blowing ..

Yeah it's water for sure. Could be soapy water. AC was on... working perfectly... pulled into car wash .. turned off car .. washed car and underbody .. turned on car ... no cold AC blowing out ..

I was hoping it would dry out and work but it didn't I bought 10 cans of brake cleaner .. doused the under body .. no luck ..

Well you have a much cleaner undercarriage now. Plus there is that post for the 4runner fan, that is probably worth a shot. It may be worth pulling the cowl off and looking for your leak. It wont go away and could ultimately rust out the floor boards.

This may sound pretty rudimentary...did you check fuses and relays?

It's ok. I try the small stuff first and hope it's that. Yeah I checked all the fuses and relays. Was hoping 1 blew. No luck.

I had this issue a few months ago. A/C working fine then nothing....then it's back. When the temps were in the high 90's it would just cut out then return. One day it just checked out completely on a 100 degree day. I feared the fuse panel issue but as @nashvegas stated check the connector for the blower motor. Not the one attached to the Bosch unit. There is another connector down from the blower motor. In my case this connector was melted/fried. I couldn't believe it didn't blow a fuse. It was a simple fix. I had been getting water in the air intake last year due to a cracked windshield cowl. Not sure if any of it is related but that connector is a known issue. Also, the 4runner blower motor thread is a simple swap. I just did this as my blower motor was squealing.
