Default Acceleration Noise

When I really have to “punch” my 98 Discovery, likegetting up to speed entering a highway, I get this strange “harmonic” sound from the exhaust. It’s hard to describe, more like a vibration sound that you don’t feel. It's not the typical deep throated V8 sound I was used to. My wife comments on it every time it happens, and she know jack about cars, so you know it not a normal acceleration sound. I don’t know if it’s something with the muffler, resonator, catalytic converters or the manifolds. I replaced the muffler and resonator last year and the sound didn't start until about six months later. My Discovery has 100k. Any ideas?

Any fault codes, if so, what are they?

I haven't had the codes checked. I'll go to autozone sometime soon and will let you know.

Thanks
