Looking to purchase first Discovery 2. I like the headlights from the 2003 and 2004 model. How much does it cost to add the CDL to the 2003 model? What parts are needed? I see some people use actuators to engage?

I did this not long ago
bought a parts truck 99 disco took center diff from there put it in my 03. Shop installed it $500 I did the rest
got a 04 shifter for $250 usd shipped to Canada

cost ? Shop around for a cdl and shifter

 

When shopping, am I asking for a CDL or transfer case? Is it the same thing? Sorry, total newbie here.

 

I have an 03 with 04 center diff and linkage. A shop did the swap as a part of a much larger set of work.

Its a transfer case or center diff. CDL means it has locking capability.

 

Hit up Will Tillery on Discoweb.org I got an 04 t-case & linkage shipped to with a lifetime warranty for $640 including shipping. Virginia to Calif.
