I need to get this piece off my parts car without breaking it. Any body know how to do?

Mine busted so I can see behind it. It is held in place by two screws hidden behind the interior trim piece.

Yeah, that's a bit of a PITA to get to. Is effective for holding it on though. Just a pain. Behind interior trim piece.

Yea, my bottom connection point on that trim piece is broken so I can see it vibrating on the highway. I keep meaning to fix it, but it does look like a PITA so I keep putting it off.

You have to remove the upper and lower rear panels for the best access. I guess you could just remove the top panel and pull away the lower one. What you'll fine are three round black pieces of tape on the interior side of the body pillar (see photos). Remove those three pieces of tape. You'll need a 7mm socket, an extension and an impact wrench if you have one. The nuts aren't on the three studs that tightly but rust can be an issue and I've had a lot more success with a 3/8th impact as opposed to using a common wrench. I guess the impact helps to jar the nut free. A little easing oil won't hurt either.
