I'll give that a shot.

Will a couple drops of coolant in a cylinder cause a misfire?

1400 Mile Update

The p0305 on startup has disappeared.

Sadly, it has been replaced by a random misses and sputtering throttle accompanied by p0308s.

The good thing is it seems to be caused by the ignition system and not cooling. When the real bad sputters happen, there is nothing abnormal coming out of the exhaust and temps are normal 194-200.

Experiment on hold while I partake in the joys of D2 plug wire exploration.

And we're back...turned out the #8 plug wire was garbage.

Replaced all the wires, and the truck has never run better.

2 days since the fix and there are NO CODES.

Yes, the P0305 on morning startup is gone now too.

Actually, we are now at 1500 and counting

I think its time to invest in an Ultragauge...monitoring the temps with a bulky scantool is getting old.

First you must roast some meat to honor the Rover gods.

So, I have some interesting temperature action.

We have had our hottest week so far with temps in the 90s.

My wife said it got up to 210 yesterday while slowly cruising in rush hour traffic. She turned the heat on and it went down.

I took it today so I could first-hand monitor the temps. This morning it was at about 195 until I hit rush hour slowdown going into the city. At that point it went to about 203 and stayed in the 199-203 range while driving in town.

After dropping my daughter off, I then go out of the city taking the freeway to work.

Going about 65-70 the temps stayed in the 201-204 range.

Slowing to get on an offramp, the temps drop to 199.

Going on a slower highway 45-55, the temps drop off to the normal 194-199 range.

As mentioned earlier, I have a Silla radiator which is noticeably thinner than stock.

Could this be the cause of getting hotter when going faster or is that normal too?

Is the silla radiator new? Did you make sure to flush out all of the coolant before adding irontite? That stuff will clog everything if it mixes with coolant.

Even still, unless you have a 180 thermo everything seems to be within "normal" range. If you're concerned about your temps, try adding a 180 thermostat or inline-thermo mod to try to level out the temp spikes you're experiencing. The inline mod worked wonders for my truck. I completed it when replacing the radiator. She never gets over 197 now, even in 98 degree heat sitting still.
