Default Advise

After filling my TD5 with fuel the fuel flap would not lock closed, luckily it did open in the first place ...not sure how to rectify if it did not open. Would appreciate once again from you good folks out there on what to do about closing the flap.

Bend the tap so that it is angled slightly to engage the pin. The angle should be enough to push the pin in and allow it to catch in the slot. I am assuming the plastic retainer is broken or gone.

Thanks for that Extinct but if that works will I be able to release it again from the cab and yes the plastic thing has broken.

I'm not sure my last statement about the plastic thing broken is true, I managed to find it but looks intact to me if only I knew how it fits back in...here is a pic

Yes, it will release again. The pin retracts when the button is pushed.

That does look broken where it mounts to the metal tab.
