After many searches.. Which exact radio harness??
Hey guys I am installing a double din pioneer avic into my 2004 and will be making a custom radio bezel etc. I have searched far and wide and I do not see a definitive answer anywhere on the internet as to which is the 100% correct harness. I want to keep the factory amp for now untill I replace speakers later on. Which is the correct harness (metra) and if you have the part number that would be great. I have not installed an aftermarket radio before but I am very good at fabrication. I will post a DIY in detail of how I did it for anyone who cares soon after. Any help would be great thanks!
I do not have the harmon kardon, or alpine unit to my understanding. I have an SE7 with an amp under the drivers seat, and the changer under the passenger seat.

Thanks Chris... yeah I saw that actually and I plan to do something similar but A little more factory appearing. Credit is due, as that guy gave me the idea to put in the Avic.
Now that I have your attention, I see you are a 12v specialist. Would a double din ISO sleeve bring the headunit further out so it would not be placed so far back? Would this be even nedded if I am making my own bezel? Thanks.

the sleeve will keep the unit in a set place as to where many iso mounts will allow a little adjustment. As you are making your own "dash kit" you could pretty much put the ISO mounts wherever you want, however the sleeve will be much easier all the way around, keep in mind also how difficult will this be to remove? I have not had to remove the panel around my radio yet so I am not sure, but sleeves always make installation and removal alot easier. I would go with the sleeve if you can. however if you just want the face to protrude through the panel then mount it with screws to your dash panel (being the unit that it is though I would strongly suggest checking clearances first) nothing like going through all that work to find the screen hits the panel as you try to open it, and I have seen that happen a few times!
