After Market Radio Install help

Cool After Market Radio Install help

Hi i have a 99 land rover discovery 2 with the stock harmon kardon amplified system and i bought a lower end Eonon in dash 7" Touch Screen off ebay it has everything am/fm/dvd/tv tuner blue tooth but no Gps i already have the DISCOVERY MOUNTING KIT do i need a amp integration harness? Also someone told me i needed a PAC OEM-2 4 CH Adj Line Level Output Converter and also do i need a standard radio harness. Here is the pictures of the radio

Look up RoverChris, he is a 12v tech, he will know the answer.

yes you have a couple of options, I am not real sure about the harmon kardon systems as I have not worked on one but 9 out of 10 times you will need a preamp signal to go to the factory amp. I believe this can be achieved with the PAC module you mentioned (or if you want to save some money Walmart sells a great scosche converter for about $15 it is blue and is pretty much a larger version of the PAC module) they do make an amp integration harness for your truck that just has the RCA's wired right to the harness that may be easier if you can find it, just lookup metra harness 70-1786. all the PAC module will do is convert your speaker levels to preamp so you don't send too much power to the factory amp.

I am not sure if the sub woofer will work or not with these methods, you may need someone with knowledge of these systems to look at it to integrate that.
