can the full floating axles from a D1 be put in a D2? I was just wondering if the pinion angle is similiar and if the antilock sensors could be transfered.

 

Wont work, the DII is wider than a DI.
And DI only has 1 ABS sensor in the rear while the DII has 2.

 

And a D2 does not have a full floating axle assembly, why do you ask??

I was wondering because of axle strenght, real or percieved. I forgot about the track width difference. I wanted bullet proof when I get my new diffs.

 

I take it you are installing new lockers, if so what are you installing? There are H.D. tapered 24 spline axles on the after market depending on your needs.

 

Yeah the axle housing doesnt matter as much as the axle shafts do.

 

planning on truetracs f/r along with ebc pads rotors and the ome 2''. DiscoMike has got the look color and all. Igrew up in Boulder and know what those mountains will do to an unprepared truck. I am planning to move back there in the near future, so I want to get prepared.
