i have a 2004 discovery with 255 55 18 wheels, and am wanting to buy some solid black after market rims in a more popular size. anyone know what size that would be. with the size i currently have my selection is limited and pricey i amlook to broaden my horizons and price range

 

Are you want to go to a black steel wheel, if so I would say go to a 16X8" steel wheel that will handle a large selection of tire sizes.

another quick question, what size tire would i need to make up for the difference in rim size. i should have asked this with the first question. i would like to keep the speedometer spot on. and would not like to have any rub.

 

With a stock lift, I would suggest a 245/75/16 tire, a little taller, nice width, easy to find, rides better then the 18" tires you now have and won't rub on a D2.
