Agressive and Quiet. looking for tires.
Hi, I'm looking for new tires for my 2000 Disco II. I'd like something along the lines of the BFG All Terrain T/A, or slightly more aggressive. And fairly quiet on the road.
I'd also like a longer lasting tire.
The BFG isn't available in the size for my Disco.
So, what do you Disco II drivers use ?? And do you like them ??

I liked my Kumho Road Venture AT KL78 tires I had on my '99 D2, surprisingly quiet on the road for as aggressive as the tread was. I will be putting a set of these on my current D2 once I find a good deal on some 16" wheels. I had them in 265/70/16 on my last D2 but may go 265/75/16 or 245/75/16 for my current one.

I just ordered 5 of these. But it is a 265/75.

They have a 255/70 with similar tread design to the Grappler or RF10 from Hankook I think.

The tires I bought for my D2 were the Yokohama Geolander A/T-S, in the stock size. They aren't very agressive, but I was doing a lot of driving at work at the time, and they were only $120 each, with free shipping. They seem pretty quiet and are better than the worn out highway tread tires I had on there as far as off road driving.

Now that I have a cheap car to drive at work, I wish I would have bought something more agressive... I was looking at:

But i'd need to find some 7" rims and the stock land rover steel wheel costs more than the 8" wide alloys, because I cannot seem to find any used.
