D1 and D2 are within a couple hundred pounds of each other, curb weight. Here is the info from the back of my 03 owner's manual:
Wheel size Tire
7J x 16 (alloy wheel) 235/70 R16 H
235/70 R16 H (I'm not sure why they listed this twice)
8J x 16 (alloy wheel) 255/65 R16 H
255/65 R16 H (or this)
8J x 18 (alloy wheel) 255/55 R18 H235/70 R16 H (I'm not sure why they listed this twice)
8J x 16 (alloy wheel) 255/65 R16 H
255/65 R16 H (or this)

I think the Goodyear warranty is 50K for the Duratracs. I've got them on my Disco and they're great, in case you were wondering

I just bought a set of LT245/75/16 Geolander A/T-S tires, and they run great on the highway with no noticeable noise over the Michelin LTX M/S I had on that I thought were very quite. I wanted a little more aggressive tire for limited off-road weekend adventures, and I think they will work well. I will see in a few weeks.
I do have a tire question to throw out. I see some people in this thread talking about tire warranties. In my recent search it seems that these AT class tires in the "P" rated range for Passenger use have a tread wear warranty, but if you go with the 'LT" rated tire with 10 ply sidewalls they do not have a warranty. Is that what others are finding? I love the Michelin LTX M/S I had in the stock size of P255/65/16, and used them off-road the few times I have been. I was in need of tires in a hurry when I got them and settled on the "P" rated tires as the tire store did not have the LT tire in stock. I had run these before on Jeep Cherokees with no off-road driving, and they lasted forever, no road noise and great all-weather tire.
What happened on Michelin LTX M/S "P" rated tires was that I only had 35K on them, and there was plenty of tread, but the side walls were cracking. I am guessing from airing them down and not having 10 ply sidewalls. Am I correct?
