Default Air cleaner hose duct "connector" issues--2003 Discovery

I don't know the official name of the piece between the air cleaner and the air intake coming from the left front wheel well (and I've looked everywhere for the right name), but there is a small (about the size of a can of Spam) cloth or vinyl connection (with steel wire inside of it, like a clothes dryer duct hose) and it is totally worn out, rotted, shot, and virtually nonexistent. I have looked and looked but the dealer said I would need to buy the entire air cleaner assembly because they don't sell this small piece on its own. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Not sure exactly what part you're looking for but a junkyard or someone parting out a DII in your area would probably be your best bet.

Call your local dealers parts counter and have them get you a new replacement, just describe it to them and they will know what you need.

Default Did you ever find the part???

I need the same one and couldn't find it at the magic Landrover junkyard, I thought about taking it to the dealer to have them order the part and replace it as well as wash my windows but that was no fun. I haven't found the exact name for the part nor can I find it anywhere.
