Air vents and ventilation system
Have a 95 Disco that is used as a farm vehicle from time to time. Had a mouse decide to nest in the bay right behind the firewall (easily seen when hood is open right below the glass of the wind screen). Anyway, I have pulled five little dead mickeys out of this bay but there is still the smell of dead varmint. Freaks the wife and kids out. How difficult is it to get into the vents and the ventilation ducts to see if i have any more dead mice. Nasty I know, I just wanted to know what I was getting into. Thanks

Charlcoal brikets. First take your shop vac, or the big vacum at the carwash and stick it in where the nest was and suck out what you can.
Next stick the charcoal in a mess bag, like a orange bag with a long rope or something so that you can pull it back out. Stick the charcoal into the bag stick the bag into the vent where the nest was. The charcoal will absorb the smell.
It will take a week or two. Change the brikets once every 5 days for ten days.
If that doesnt do it then there is a commercial product out there for just such a thing. I dont know what it is called though.
Ask a vetnarian office for the stuff to clean the smell of skunk off of cats and dogs. But I think the charcoal will do 95% of the job.
